Do You Use the CreditOrSurcharge Aggregate - at all?

Credits, surcharges, fees, taxes and etc. are listed in the XML Coverages table, often in separate sublists labeled as such.

CreditOrSurcharge appears inside the Coverage aggregate, and outside. The design intended to accommodate credits etc. that are associated with specific coverages, and those associated with the policy / person / risk etc.

We know credits etc. are sent using Coverage and CoverageCd, because in 2014 an MR added CoverageTypeCd (Coverage / CreditSurcharge / TaxFeeAssess) in order to clarify exactly what is in that Coverage instance.

But the community is expressing confusion, and in some cases consternation.

Bottom line - DO YOU USE THE CREDITORSURCHARGE AGGREGATE IN YOUR MESSAGES? A simple Yes or No will help tremendously. Thanks!

James we don't use it on ours but some of our requests come through with it. This is how it was used. Out of all our realtime requests only 1 vendor sends it. You can ask me which one. I haven't found anyone doing it outside the coverage aggregate.

We use CreditOrSurcharge extensively at Liberty. We understand that these are coverages in all/most ACORD communications and we always knew we would have to translate these into CovergeCd when communicating with external vendors/agents. We also use the creditorsurcharge under <Rating> to track some internal factors used during rating.
